Steps to play via USSD
If you do not have access to a smartphone or a computer, you can play from a standard phone. Just dial *463# and you will be run through the process with easy-to-follow steps. Here is how it works:
- Dial *463# on your phone
- Select option 1 ( Pick your lucky numbers) and hit send.
- Type your 6 lucky numbers, which must be between 1 and 49, separated by a comma, then hit send. Example: 1,9,16,22,35,49.
- Type your Pawa number which must be a number between 1 and 10 and then hit send.
- You’ll be asked to confirm the numbers you have selected and pay by typing in the number 1.
- An MPESA prompt will be sent to your phone number. You will be asked to confirm the payment by entering your MPESA Pin.
Now you have ordered your ticket and paid for it. You will receive a confirmation via SMS. The SMS confirmation will contain:
- an ID number for your order
- the date or dates of the draws your ticket participates in
- the numbers you picked
You have a LottoPawa customer account now
After you have purchased your first ticket via USSD, an account with your phone number has been created in our system. If you want to play online next time, or you simply want to check your tickets online, you can enter your phone number, and then you will be sent a One-Time Password (OTP) via SMS.
You must then enter the OTP and set a password of your own to complete your online registration process.
Once you have done that, your account is fully activated now. All your transactions and tickets from both USSD and online play will be visible in your online account.
